نویسندگان

چکیده

This paper describes the gretl function package ParMA, which provides Bayesian model averaging (BMA) in generalized linear models. In order to overcome lack of analytical specification for many models covered, features an implementation reversible jump Markov chain Monte Carlo technique, following original idea by Green (1995), as a flexible tool several specifications. Particular attention is devoted computational aspects such automatization building procedure and parallelization sampling scheme.

Bayesian Model Averaging for Generalized Linear Models with Missing Covariates

We address the problem of estimating generalized linear models (GLMs) when the outcome of interest is always observed, the values of some covariates are missing for some observations, but imputations are available to fill-in the missing values. Under certain conditions on the missing-data mechanism and the imputation model, this situation generates a trade-off between bias and precision in the ...

Bayesian Model Averaging for Linear Regression Models

We consider the problem of accounting for model uncertainty in linear regression models. Conditioning on a single selected model ignores model uncertainty, and thus leads to the underestimation of uncertainty when making inferences about quantities of interest. A Bayesian solution to this problem involves averaging over all possible models (i.e., combinations of predictors) when making inferenc...

Bayesian Inference for Spatial Beta Generalized Linear Mixed Models

In some applications, the response variable assumes values in the unit interval. The standard linear regression model is not appropriate for modelling this type of data because the normality assumption is not met. Alternatively, the beta regression model has been introduced to analyze such observations. A beta distribution represents a flexible density family on (0, 1) interval that covers symm...

Bayesian Model Averaging of Dynamic Linear Models

In this paper we aim to compare the performance of three different Bayesian model averaging (or mixture) methods applied to regression dynamic linear models for beverage data from Zimbabwe. The models are chosen to reflect different plausible causal structures of association between beverage sales and other variables, thought to influence beverage sales, such as prices, temperature and maize cr...

Extended Bayesian model averaging in generalized linear mixed models applied to schizophrenia family data.

The study of disease etiology and the search for susceptible genes of schizophrenia have attracted scientists' attention for decades. Many findings however are inconsistent, possibly due to the higher order interactions involving multi-dimensional genetic and environmental factors or due to the commingling of different ethnic groups. Several studies applied generalized linear mixed models (GLMM...
